In GoHighLevel, you can export data from each client account.

Form and Survey Submissions 

GoHighLevel’s latest update has made handling form and survey submissions much easier. You no longer need external apps to get all the submission details. Now, you can export submissions from selected forms and surveys or bulk. 

You’ll get an email with a link to download your data. This link stays active for seven days, giving you ample time to download your information. And the best part? You’re not stuck with page-by-page CSV file exports anymore.

If you want to download submission details directly to Google Sheets, GoHighLevel offers a premium action within its Workflow.

Exporting your message conversations is also possible but requires an external tool like Twilio or an API integration. Currently, GoHighLevel doesn’t offer a built-in option for this.

How to Export Clients, Contacts, and Data from GoHighLevel

How to Export Your Client List

Sign in to your account and make sure you’re at the Agency dashboard.

Click the “Sub-Accounts” tab and select the export icon. It is under the “Create Sub-Account” button.

Wait a few moments for the process to be done. Note that this will depend on the number of sub-accounts you export.

Open the CSV file and analyze your data.

How to Export Contacts

Select one of your sub-accounts from the Agency dashboard. Then, click “Contacts.”

Tick the box next to the contacts you’d like to export, or click the top checkbox to select all. You can also add a filter, such as the location containing a specific word or the DND not being enabled for SMS.

Click “Columns” to select which details you want to include or exclude from your CSV file.

Select the “Export Contacts” icon, then confirm your action.

How to Export Form and Survey Data

As mentioned, there are two ways to do this. But you can do both inside the sub-account.

Option 1 – Through the Form or Survey Dashboard

Click the “Sites” tab and choose “Submissions” under “Forms” or “Surveys.”

You can click the “Download submissions in current page” icon to download the data as a CSV file or choose the “Export” button to receive an email link.

Option 2 – Through an Automation (GoHighLevel Workflow)

Remember to integrate your Google account before proceeding with this step. After doing that, you can follow these steps.

Go to “Automation.” Then, create a new workflow or open an existing one. I’ll use my existing WWorkflow for this example.

Make sure that your “Trigger” is set to “Survey Submitted” or “Form Submitted.”

Click the “+” icon to select an Action, and choose “Google Sheets.”

Fill out all the essential info, such as the action you want to take, the account name, and the sheet name. Then, click “Save Action.”

Make sure to test whether the WorkflowWorkflow is functioning or not.

How Do I Export Contacts from GoHighLevel?

You can do this by choosing a sub-account, going to the “Contacts” tab, and selecting each contact you want to download. You can complete this step by choosing the export icon.

Can I Schedule Data, Contacts, or Client Exports in GoHighLevel?

GoHighLevel doesn’t have a data scheduling feature at the moment. So, setting an exporting date or day isn’t possible yet.
