Kartra vs Builderall (2025): Which is Best for Your Business?

Kartra and Builderall are two well-known, all-in-one digital marketing platforms. But today, we’re going to be finding out which one is best.

We tried out each platform for ourselves in order to compare their features, performance, and value-for-money, and then put together this in-depth comparison of Kartra vs Builderall to share what we learned.

First, we’ll provide an overview of each company and highlight the main differences between each of them. Then, we’ll compare some key features both platforms have in common.

After that, we’ll look at the exclusive features unique to each company, compare pricing options, and highlight each platform’s pros and cons. And finally, we’ll reveal which one we think is the best choice for your online business.

Let’s get started.

Kartra vs. Builderall Overview

Kartra is an all-in-one funnel builder designed to offer all the macro features and tools entrepreneurs need to run their business in one seamlessly interconnected ecosystem.

You can use it to build landing pages and funnels, set up automations, launch email campaigns, host videos, manage affiliate programs, and more. 

Kartra hit the market back in 2018 and has quickly gained popularity amongst seasoned marketers looking for an alternative to ClickFunnels.

The platform is owned by Genesis Digital — the parent company behind EverWebinar and WebinarJam — and backed by marketing legends like Mike Kern, Andy Jenkins, and Mike Filsaime.

Builderall is another all-in-one sales funnel builder and one of Kartra’s biggest competitors.

It claims to be ‘the world’s most complete and powerful digital marketing platform,’ with more integrated apps, tools, and features than any other solution — and all for a fraction of the cost.

Like Kartra, Builderall aims to replace your entire marketing stack and provide you with everything you need to run your online business in one place.

But unlike Kartra, which sticks mainly to the ‘macro features,’ Builderall takes it one step further and provides both the macro and micro-set of tools in one place. 

In addition to all the main features you’d expect from a sales funnels builder (i.e. a landing page editor, automation sequence builder, email marketing platform, etc.), Builderall also comes with a ton of micro features like a page loading accelerator, messenger chatbot app, webinar builder, YouTube live streaming tool, directory builder, blogging app, booking app, and much more!

Despite the incredibly broad feature set, Builderall is very much a ‘budget’ funnel-building solution.

It’s a jack of all trades but master of none and does a lot of things kind of well instead of a couple of things amazingly well.

Kartra vs. Builderall Key differences

Before we move on and get into the nitty-gritty details, here’s a quick overview of what we think the main differences between the two solutions are:

• Builderall is more affordable and offers better value-for-money. Plans start at less than a fifth of the cost of Kartra, which makes Builderall a popular choice for solopreneurs and cash-strapped SMBs. 
• Builderall offers more features out of the box. Despite the lower price tag, you also get more for your money with Builderall. It includes vastly more features than Katra and includes many tools that Kartra doesn’t offer (we’ll talk more about these exclusive features later).
• Kartra is a ‘higher-quality’ product and offers better all-around performance. While Kartra might not offer as many integrated apps and tools as Builderall, we found those it does offer to be better quality than Builderall. Certain features in Builderall could be a little buggy, slow, and glitchy, whereas this wasn’t a problem with Kartra. Overall, Builderall just felt a lot ‘cheaper’ than Kartra — which, of course, it is!
• Kartra offers better support. As we’ll discuss later, Kartra offers superior support with faster response times, more support options, and a better knowledge base. 
• Kartra is easier to use. Too many features in Builderall make it feel a little bloated. It’s more difficult to navigate than Kartra, which is more user-friendly.

Now that we’ve covered the key differences let’s look at some of the most important shared Kartra features and Builderall features to see how they compare. 

Landing Page Builder

One of the core features of both Kartra and Builderall is their landing page builders. Here’s what you need to know about each of them.

Kartra

Kartra uses a grid-based page editor with a simple interface that should be familiar to anyone with experience using WordPress builders like Elementor. 

You can drag and drop pre-made sections and blocks in from the left and move them around the page into set positions.

Because it’s grid-based, you can’t move elements around with precision – they have to sit within predefined page parameters. This helps get everything aligned correctly, but it also limits flexibility/design freedom.

When building your pages, you can start from a template or from scratch. There are over 500 landing page templates to choose from, including squeeze page templates, thank you page templates, and everything in between.

Builderall

Builderall’s website builder is called the Cheetah builder. Unlike Kartra, this is a ‘true’ freeform drag and drop page editor.

You’re not confined to rows and columns and can move elements freely to exactly where you want on the page, with pixel precision. You’re not limited by the same grid-based system Kartra uses, which means you have full control.

Of course, the disadvantage of this is that it’s easy to make mistakes.

Being able to move everything around with freedom means you run the risk of misaligning certain elements, a common mistake that inexperienced users often make. 

It can also impact the page’s mobile responsiveness.

Many users report elements not lining up correctly on the mobile version of their page and being forced to edit the mobile and desktop version independently to make sure it looks the way it’s supposed to, which takes a lot of time.

We also found that Builderall’s page editor could be a little sluggish and glitchy from time to time. It was much more frustrating to work with than Kartra.

Like Kartra, Builderall also provides a bunch of page templates for you to choose from.

But in our opinion, these templates felt a little more outdated and less professional compared to Kartra.

The bottom line:

The main difference between each platform’s page editor is that Kartra uses a grid-based system, whereas Builderall uses a grid-free system. 

Choose Kartra if you want something easy to use and responsive, and you’re happy operating in set parameters. Choose Builderall if you’d prefer maximum flexibility and don’t mind tweaking your mobile and tablet page variations independently.

We also preferred Kartra’s selection of page templates, so overall, Kartra wins here.

Funnel Builder

The heart and soul of each platform is its funnel builder tool, which allows you to build customer journeys by connecting landing pages, emails, forms, and checkouts together in automated flows.

Kartra’s funnel builder is known as the sequence builder. To build your funnels, you drag and drop different triggers and actions onto a blank canvas and connect them together to put together complete automated customer journeys. 

It has a bit of a learning curve if you’re a complete beginner, but you should be able to get the hang of it fairly quickly.

If you don’t want to build your own custom funnels from scratch, you can also leverage pre-built ‘Done For You Campaigns’ made by marketing experts. 

Builderall’s funnel builder is called the Cheetah funnel builder.

Like Kartra, it’s a canvas-based builder that allows you to create funnels by mapping out the steps on a visual canvas so you can easily visualize how your customers will flow through it. 

There are plenty of ready-made, high-converting funnel blueprints that you can use if you don’t want to start from scratch.

However, we felt these weren’t as well-made as Kartra’s templates. 

We felt there was a big problem with brand consistency as the different pages in the funnel look very different from one another, which creates a disjointed customer experience.

Email Marketing Tools

Both platforms also come with built-in email marketing tools that you can use to send out newsletters, create autoresponders, and implement advanced automation options within your email marketing campaigns. 

Kartra’s integrated email solution is known as Kartra Mail, whereas Builderall’s is MailingBoss.

There’s not a huge difference between the two. Both come with ready-made email templates and have comparable visual email editors, and the process of setting up email automation sequences is similar on both platforms.

If we had to pick a winner, it would be Katra Mail. The automation and customization options are a little more advanced, and it has better open rates reportedly.

One thing to note, though, is that Kartra caps you at 15,000 emails/month on their Starter plan, whereas Builderall doesn’t.

Video Hosting

Another feature both platforms have in common is video hosting. Unlike competitors like ClickFunnels, both Kartra and Builderall will host any videos you use on your pages for you. 

This means you don’t have to rely on third-party hosting platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia and instead have full control and ownership of your media files.

Kartra offers unlimited videos on Silver plans and above. Builderall doesn’t cap the number of videos you can host either, but it does limit you to 2GB – 10GB of disk space, depending on which plan you sign up for.

Media files will quickly eat up that available disk space, so if you plan on using a lot of videos, Kartra might be the better option.

Checkout Experience

Both platforms come with built-in shopping cart tools to help you take online payments and create a seamless checkout experience for your customers. 

With Kartra Checkout, you can link third-party payment gateways like PayPal, Stripe, and Braintree. You can set up free trials, upsells, downsells, coupons, special offers, cart abandonment recovery emails, and much more.

Builderall also has a powerful, flexible checkout system. You can use it to manage sales, set up checkout pages, integrate payment gateways, and more. 

It also comes with more payment options than Kartra; in addition to regular payments, it also supports things like subscriptions and even auction payments,

Online Course Creation

While neither platform is a dedicated course builder, you can use both Kartra and Builderall to put together basic eLearning courses and then market and sell them to your customers.

You can add different lessons and modules and hide them behind gated membership sites.

Exclusive Features Only Found On Kartra

Aside from the above features that are common to both Kartra and Builderall, there are also a few exclusive Kartra features worth mentioning, including:

Heatmaps

Kartra offers built-in heatmap analytics, which provides a visualization of where on the page your landing page visitors are spending most of their time.

This can help with your conversion rate optimization efforts. To use heatmaps on Builderall, you’d need to use a third-party integration.

Helpdesks

Kartra also provides a built-in helpdesk tool that you can use to set up a live chat and ticketing system to offer customer support through your website.

You can funnel tickets by department, set up canned responses to save time, enable multi-agent collaboration, and more.

Done For You’ Campaigns

One of the coolest things about Kartra is its Done For You campaigns.

Instead of building your funnels from scratch, you can just ‘plug and play’ ready-made campaigns designed by marketing legend Frank Kerns.

Exclusive Features Only Found On Builderall

Builderall has a ton of exclusive built-in features that Kartra doesn’t offer. We don’t have time to cover them all, but here are some of the highlights:

Webinar Hosting

Builderall comes with built-in tools to help you host, market, and run webinars. With Kartra, you have to integrate with a third-party solution like WebinarJam or EverWebinar to do the same.

Animation Tool

You can animate any element on your Builderall pages within the editor in just a few clicks. Make your buy buttons jump around on the page to catch your visitors’ attention and improve your conversions.

Script Generator

Builderall’s machine learning tools can automatically create copy for your emails, landing pages, and other marketing materials. This can help to save you time and money. 

Support for Auction Payment Types

In Builderall’s Supercheckout, you can set up auction payments.

All you have to do is set a starting price, choose your auction rules and bidding increments, etc., and you can start selling products via auction.

Messenger Chatbot Automation

Automate your customer support and sales processes with the Builderall Messenger Chatbot app and have conversations with your customers on social media 24/7.

Kartra Vs Builderall Pricing Comparison

Now, let’s talk money. Arguably the biggest difference between the two platforms comes down to cost. 

Builderall is much more affordable on the whole, with plans starting at $14.90/month.

Kartra’s entry-level plan (the Starter plan) costs over five times more than that at $79/month (when billed annually). This makes Builderall a good choice if you’re on a tight budget.

Despite the lower price tag, Builderall also represents better value for money.

For example, Builderall offers unlimited subscribers on Premium plan and above, whereas Kartra still caps subscribers at 50k even on their highest-priced plan.

Here’s a quick overview of all the available plans for each platform.

Kartra

There are four Kartra pricing plans to choose from: Starter (from $79/month), Silver (from $149/month), Gold (from $229/month), and Platinum (from $379/month).

Unlike Builderall, all plans include every Kartra tool and feature you need. The only difference between the plans relates to usage caps. 

The Starter plan is the most limited and caps your emails, bandwidth, pages, videos, products, etc. We’d recommend the Silver plan or above for most users, as these plans come with unlimited everything (except leads and domains). 

Whether you should choose Silver, Gold, or Platinum will depend on how many leads you expect to have and how many domains you plan on using Kartra with.

Kartra also offers a $1 trial for either 14-days or 30-days, depending on which promotional offer you sign up through.

Builderall

Builderall offers four pricing plans: Cheetah ($14.90/month), Marketer ($69.90/month), Premium ($79.90/month), and Funnel Club ($79.90/month plus additional first payment of $199). 

Each Builderall tier up unlocks more subscribers, domains, disk space, tools, templates, and funnels. Only Premium and Funnel Club plans include unlimited everything plus all tools and templates, and funnels are only included in the Funnel Club plan.

The biggest issue I have with Builderall’s pricing plans is that they don’t offer a trial plan, which means you can’t try it out before you buy.

This is almost unheard of in the SaaS industry — pretty much every other platform offers a free or paid trial — and is disappointing, to say the least. 

Kartra vs Builderall Support

Next, let’s take a look at the kind of support you get with each platform.

Kartra

Kartra’s support is top-notch.

Aside from extensive self-help support options, including tons of knowledge center articles and tutorials, Kartranaur training (Kartra’s coaching program), YouTube tutorial videos, and access to the Kartra Facebook group, you also get access to on-demand live chat and ticket support.

Live chat is available for 8 hours per day during peak times and provides more or less instant responses to user queries. You can leave a ticket out of hours and will usually get a response within 24 hours.

Builderall

We weren’t as impressed with Builderall’s support options. They claim to offer 24/7 ticket and live chat support, but we couldn’t find the live chat option anywhere on their website – only the ticket option. 

Anecdotally, it seems that their response times aren’t as fast either. Some users report waiting 2-3 days for a response, and others even warn of worryingly dishonest practices.

Like Kartra, Builderall also offers extensive documentation and a knowledge base where you can find tutorials on how to use the platform.

However, we found it less easy to navigate, and most of the topics covered were general overviews of each of the features rather than in-depth, advanced guides. 

We also noticed a ton of spelling and grammatical errors in the documentation that didn’t exactly inspire confidence and made the help guides seem rushed and cheap.

The bottom line: Kartra offers better support than Builderall, with faster response times and a superior knowledge center.

Which All-In-One Platform Is Best For Your Online Business?

The best all-in-one platform for your online business will depend on your budget and whether you prioritize quality or value-for-money. 

If you’re on a tight budget, Builderall offers everything you need and much, much more at a very affordable price point. It’s a little buggy, and the support is sub-par, but it does the job.

If you don’t mind spending a little extra and want a more reliable platform, Kartra is the way to go.

Paying that bit more will bag you better support, more advanced email automations, and a generally better user experience.

Alternative Platforms

Rather, it’s a funnel builder plugin that integrates with your WordPress site. You can use it to optimize your WooCommerce checkout flow and create funnels inside the WP dashboard.
